An important
feature of Domain Search Tool is the auto-appraiser feature. This feature
allows for quick and fully automated appraisal of domains as they are scanned,
and later automated submission of offers.
The appraiser
uses a user specified formula. The default formula is provided below:
Domain Value
= ($OvertureTLD * 4) + ($OvertureNoTLD / 100) + ($GoogleLP / 100) +
($MSNLP / 200) + ($YahooLP / 150) + $AlexaLP + (3000001 / $AlexaTR)
A dollar sign
($) indicates a variable name. All variable names are listed in the listbox.
Variables are replaced with actual values during the scan/appraisal process.
As you can see
from the simple formula above, the OvertureTLD value (which represents Overture.TLD
domain property) has the most "weight" or it is the most important
value. This can be changed at any time to reflect whatever the user requires.
The formula
may contain variables which are not always available in the scan. For
example, scanning Overture.TLD only domains will not yield Google, MSN and
other values. In such situations these variables are replaced with 0.

It is important
to note that Alexa rankings above 3,000,000 are counted as 3,000,000 by the
formula.
The key things
to remember when creating a custom appraisal formula are:
- Simplicity
- Keep the formula clean and simple
- Variable
usage - Only variables listed in the variable list are supported.
Including unknown variables will generate errors or result in invalid
appraisals.
- Operator
Usage - The only supported mathematical operators are *, / , +, -,
(, ), ^. No other operators should be used.
You may view
the results of the formula by inputting sample data into the appropriate fields
in the "Check Formula" tab and clicking "Check Formula."
To load the default
formula simply click the "Default" button.
