The power digger
can used to find type-in domains using a creative approach. The Google power
digger accepts a keyword, or a list of keyword which it then queries in Google.
From the results, the digger extracts X words to the left and to the right
(each is optional) of the original keyword in each result. So, for example,
if our original keyword was "forum" the result should look something
similar to (note, results may have changed by the time you've read this file
since they are dependent on the search engine):

The
digger can be configured to extract X words in front of the keyword and Y
behind the keyword. It can also mix the newly extracted words into various
combinations and filter the final domain using the filter criteria.
From
the example above for "Forum", D.R.T. the first result "math
forum" was turned into "mathforum.com" and then mixed to "forummath.com".
While in this case "forummath.com" doesn't necessarily make sense,
in other situations mixing words can produce fruitful results.
The
digger will use proxy settings from the "Google Link Popularity"
proxy setting in the "Proxy Settings" window. So, if "Google
Link Popularity" proxy setting is checked, then proxies will be used,
otherwise they will not be used.
Exporting
these results into the scan list and checking them for Overture score yields
more interesting results.
