The Scan List
was designed to load raw domain lists for first level scanning. This is ideal
for scanning drop lists or domains which the user may not necessarily be interested
in until certain stats are known.
The Watch
List was designed to keep track of domains which the user wishes to closely
monitor. For example, domains which are currently in auction should be placed
in the Watch List. Similarly, domains for which offers have been submitted
or which are in negotiating stages should also be in the Watch List.
Though there
are no strict rules as to what should and what shouldn't be in the Watch List,
it is best to keep the list small (under 5,000 domains) and only store domains
which are of interest to the user.
The Watch List
offers a few more customization features. These are available right by right-clicking
on a specific domain in the Watch List. For example, a custom status (Auction
- Pool, Pending Purchase, Watching, Researching) can be assigned to any domain
in the watch list. Additionally, custom alerts and other features are available.

Scanning the
Watch and Scan lists will produce identical results, however domains are not
uploaded to the turbo server when scanning the Watch List.
Finally, the
portfolio tab lists domains which you or
your customers own and which you wish to keep a close eye on. Scanning your
portfolio will automatically result in highlighting of domains which have
changed in any way (ex: changed IP, changed registrar, changed title, etc).

Customizing
Columns
Both the Watch
List, Scan List and Portfolio allow for customizing of the columns shown
in the two lists. To customize the columns simply right click on the desired
list and select "Customize Columns".

Note that
customizing columns with domains already loaded into the scan/watch lists
will result in clearing of that list. Also, selecting a new search engine
for scan will automatically show that search engines Column.
You may also
change the width property of each column to make it larger or smaller. All
column settings are saved to the registry and are loaded each time D.R.T.
Is launched.
