Handy Shortcut Keys

Shortcut keys can save you a lot of time by not having to constantly click through various menus. Listed below are all shortcut keys currently compatible with D.R.T.

A "+" indicates that the user must hold the first key (usually CTRL or Control key) while pressing the second key indicated after the + sign. Important / very useful shortcuts are highlighted in blue.

Global shortcuts are shortcuts which can be execute from any program (D.R.T. does not have to be active but has to be running in the background). There are three globabl shortcuts and they perform various operations on domains/data in the clipboard. To better understand global shortcuts watch this video.

Global Shortcuts (can be used from ANY program not just D.R.T):

CTRL+SHIFT+Z - Looks up Overture.TLD (active server), PageRank and Alexa for whatever first domain is in the clipboard. Results are shown via windows pop-up message near the tray area.

CTRL+SHIFT+W - Looks up whois information for the domain currently in the clipboard.

CTRL+SHIFT+X - Inserts all domains from clipboard into the scan queue and if a scan is not already in progress, it scans them.

Internal D.R.T Shortcuts:

CTRL+C - Copy to clipboard key. This works on both the Scan List and Watch list and copies certain domain information to the clipboard.

CTRL+V - Paste from clipboard. Works on both the Scan List and Watch List to paste domain information from the clipboard into whichever list the mouse is over

CTRL+X - Cut to clipboard. This works on both the Scan List and Watch list and copies certain domain information to the clipboard, then removes it from the list.

DELETE - Deletes the currently selected domain from Watch List or Scan List

CTRL+F - Finds a specific domain within the Watch List or Scan List (whichever the mouse is over).

F3 - Finds the next instance of whatever was entered using the previous shortcut key.

CTRL+A - Selects all domains in whichever list the mouse is over.

CTRL+B - Opens the selected domain using the default web browser.

CTRL+D - Displays the "Add Domains" window allowing for manual domain additions.

CTRL+G - Displays the "Generate Domains" window.

CTRL+I - Displays the Import Raw Domains dialog.

CTRL+N - Creates a new Scan List by removing all previous data.

CTRL+O - Opens a previously scanned Scan List or Watch List.

CTRL+R - Opens the domain registration page for the selected domain using the default web browser.

CTRL+S - Saves the currently active file to the hard disk.

CTRL+0 - Checks Whois information for the selected domain.

CTRL+1 - Checks Overture.TLD for the selected domain.

CTRL+2 - Checks Overture Term for the selected domain.

CTRL+3 - Checks Alexa for the selected domain.

CTRL+4 - Checks WayBack Machine for the selected domain.

CTRL+5 - Opens SnapNames Backorder site for the selected domain.

CTRL+6 - Opens Enom Backorder site for the selected domain.

CTRL+7 - Opens Pool Backorder site for the selected domain.

CTRL+8 - Opens NameWinner Backorder site for the selected domain.

CTRL+9 - Opens GoDaddy Backorder site for the selected domain.

CTRL+SHIFT+A - Displays the "Appraiser Settings" window.

CTRL+SHIFT+E - Displays the "E-Mail Settings" window.

CTRL+SHIFT+F - Displays the "Filter Settings" window.

CTRL+SHIFT+P - Displays the "Proxy Settings" window

CTRL+SHIFT+S - Displays the "Scan Settings" window.

CTRL+W - Toggles the Watch List window on/off.

F1 - Displays help file

F12 - Displays the "Proxy Usage Report" window.
