The Watch List
was designed to keep track of domains which the user wishes to closely monitor.
For example, domains which are currently in auction should be placed in the
Watch List. Similarly, domains for which offers have been submitted or which
are in negotiating stages should also be in the Watch List.
For information
about the difference between the Watch List and Scan List click here.
Though there
are no strict rules as to what should and what shouldn't be in the Watch List,
it is best to keep the list small (under 5,000 domains) and only store domains
which are of interest to the user.
The Watch List
offers a few more customization features. These are available right by right-clicking
on a specific domain in the Watch List. For example, a custom status (Auction
- Pool, Pending Purchase, Watching, Researching) can be assigned to any domain
in the watch list. Additionally, custom alerts and other features are available.
Analyzing
and Marking Results
It's always
a good idea to double check all results before registering, backordering
or submitting an offer for a domain. D.R.T. Allows for quick and easy verification
of its results by right clicking on any domain and selecting "Confirm
Results".
When you have
found a domain you are interested or which you wish to highlight you may
use the highlight feature by selecting a domain or a list of domains,
right clicking on them and selecting the "Highlight" menu.
Changing
Watch Status
The Watch Status
tells YOU what the current status of the domain is. For example, domains
currently in auction should have an "Auction - " as their watch
status. Similarly domains for which offers have been submitted should have
a "Offer Sent" status.
The change
the status of a domain or a list of domains select which domains you wish
to change the status for, right click on one of them and select the "Change
Status" menu.
Additionally,
you can change the status of an individual domain by double clicking on
it and using the "Domain Information" window.
Overriding
Domain / Column Data
For all domains
in your Watch List it is possible to change the values displayed in any
of the columns and to add notes and such for each domain.
To do this
simply double click on any domain and update whichever field you
want changed in the "Domain Information" window, then click save.

Setting
Domain Alerts
You may set
a domain Alert to go off on any date and at any time. To ensure that
domain alerts always go off when they are suppose to make sure that D.R.T.
Is loaded when Windows loads (General Settings window).
To set a new
alert you must first add a domain to your Watch List. Once the domain exists
in your Watch List double click on it to view the "Domain Information"
window.
From the "Domain
Information" window select "Alerts" and fill in the required
fields. D.R.T. checks the alerts queue every 30 seconds. Alerts can
be removed by setting the "Toggle Alerts" option box to "Off".

Alerts are
automatically removed from the Alert queue when they are processed. All
alerts are stored in the "alerts.txt" file located in the "app_Files"
folder. Editing this file manually is NOT recommended.
