Powerful Proxy Support: Scanning large lists cannot be done without utilizing proxy servers (see Help file for detailed information on what proxy servers are). What is an IDN Domain?

An IDN domain is an Internationalized Domain Name which may contain foreign (non-ascii) language characters.

Why would someone register an IDN domain?

The vast majority of the world does not speak English as a primarily language. Therefore, registering a domain name in standard English (ASCII) characters presents a problem for most of the non-English speaking world. With the introduction of IDN domains, much of the world's population can use their native language in a domain.

How can I profit from IDN domains?

In the 1990's, the rush was on to buy as many domains as possible with the intention of reselling them later at a higher price. Many of the early domainers received hefty sums of profit off their $12/domain investment. Although there are traditional .com, .net., and .org names still available today, there exists a new market in IDN domains.

Where can I find and register IDN domains?

IDN domains are converted into 'Punycode', which translates the foreign characters into their ASCII character equivalent. You may then register the domain at any registrar like a traditional domain.
